Indian Modern Sr. Sec. School was established in April, 1994 with a view to offer world class educational opportunities in the city of Sonipat. We believe in the dignity and worth of each student and recognize the importance of his/her responsibilities to the world community. MONTESSORI BLOCK

Our Montessori school is
endowed with Theme based, Air Conditioned glass walled
classrooms, Intellectual Development rooms, Mini Theatre, Splash
Pool, Library with puppet theatre and an exclusive story telling
area, Dining Hall, Language Lab etc where the child is given
wings of creativity and imagination under the benevolent guidance
of well versed Montessori teachers.
JUNIOR BLOCK
IMS develops an informed
curiosity and a lasting passion for learning. Students also gain
the essential skills they need for success at university and in
their future careers. We use internationally benchmarked tests,
giving parents extra trust in the feedback they receive. The
programme at our school develops young learners who are
confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged.
Students have an environment that allows them freedom for
individual expression, and develops the capability that is
required to show achievement in the final examinations as per the
standards set by the Board. The academic level of students shows
that they are well up to the standards of measurement, while at
the same time, able to participate in the numerous activities
that the school provides for them. The students are bench-marked
with the best in the State and participate in various events and
competitions organized by the Education Department.
SENIOR BLOCK

As students grow up to
become young adults and enter the Senior Wing, an emphasis is
laid on honing their skills and makes them independent learners.
They are encouraged to be confident and competent individuals who
can solve problems and take decisions in life. We teach our
students to be responsible by taking accountability for their
decisions. The Scholastic areas of studies in the Senior Wing
include Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, along with
Languages which include English (first compulsory language) &
Hindi. The school offers courses such as Physical Education, Art,
Music, Dance, IT and Value Education. The experienced faculty
members of the Senior Wing support and guide our students to be
thinkers and enquirers, who wonder and pose questions. With a
curriculum based on learning by doing, they are guided to use
their knowledge and skills to cope with real life situations and
challenges that are integrated with digital pedagogies.
Class-room spaces are carefully organized to support the
learning. We aspire to nurture students who will thrive in the
new millennium. We believe that students need to have critical
thinking and problem solving abilities and always be
self-motivated.
Apart from academics IMS ensures that students are provided all the opportunities for honing their co-curricular inclinations through sports, performing and visual arts, oratory and other creative pursuits.
